Ginger will be performing a livestream event in May 2021, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support who have been helping a friend Charlie, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The stream will be recorded in the next few weeks, and released towards the end of May once it has been fully edited – that way while it may not be fully “live”, it will make sure we don’t succumb to dodgy internet connections, interruptions, and make sure it’s the quality show that you’ve come to expect!
Tickets for the show are £5 each, or £10 including a request/shout-out/just being awesome by supporting a very deserving charity.
If you would like a request or shout-out, please mention this in the “Order Notes” field at the checkout!
Once you have placed your order, the order confirmation email will contain a link that will become live when the show is made available – keep an eye on Facebook and the News page at round-records.com/news for details of when this will be!
A bit about Charlie’s story:
Charlie sadly lost her Sister to Breast Cancer in 2010, and as such has always been concerned and somewhat expecting of the diagnosis herself.
On 12th February of this year, Charlie was diagnosed with Triple Negative Grade 3 Breast Cancer of the left breast and was understandably devastated, but worked with the NHS (who she cannot praise highly enough for their diligence, care and support) to decide to go for a bilateral Mastectomy.
Charlie had this operation on March 9th – which became known as ‘Tits Off Tuesday’, in line with her wonderful sense of humour and infectious optimism.
The Operation was a success, lymph nodes were taken as a precaution and recently Charlie has been told that thankfully and very happily, the Cancer had not spread further.
Charlie is doing well recovery-wise but starts a 6 month gruelling treatment of Chemo at the end of April. This is to ensure she is now Cancer-free and all clear after her Mastectomy.
A more positive, upbeat, kind, caring and wonderful person you could not hope to meet. Charlie has met this challenge with a good heart, strength and determinism and she really is a complete inspiration.
Charlie has asked us to urge everyone to keep on top of appointments and self-check for any unusual lumps, bumps, pains, etc. Timing of finding any changes is absolute key to survival. Living in COVID times has made it more difficult for people to keep on top of these things and a lot of people are tending not to bother, thinking that the NHS have their hands full already, but honestly, it’s so important. Please check. Please stay well.
